Record Club 5 - Beck with a Blender
We toast to the end of summer with one of our favorite backyard party albums, 1996s Odelay by Beck. The blend of styles and samples fit perfectly with frozen cocktails so we dusted off the blender and made ourselves some blended versions of of classic summer cocktails, including favorites like the Jungle Bird, and the Espresso Martini.

Great podcast! Nothing better than learning about music and cocktails!
Fun hang
Full disclosure: I’ve been mixing and editing the most recent episodes since just before the re-vamp and am friends with the hosts, but, as someone who spends hours on these episodes I have to say that when I’m done I genuinely feel like I got to hang out with my buddies, listen to a cool album, and learn a few interesting things about music and/or alcohol. Also, it’s fun to hear the hosts’ energy and inhibitions shift after drink number 2 and into the end of the episode. It’s a good time, you won’t regret it (unless, perhaps, you drink along at home).

This podcast is a lot of fun. i’m always amazed at the amount of things I learn about music listening to this, and the format feels like hanging out with old friends talking over cocktails. Good stuff :-)
